I’m Santiago. I teach English from inside professional football.
CELTA teacher (Cambridge English), interpreter on the technical staff of Servette Chênois Féminin and analyst at Cork City FC.
From Rosario to the dressing room
I was born in Rosario, Argentina. I have lived in Ireland and Switzerland, and along the way I found that teaching is my thing: I have done it with adults and children, in language schools, in a special school and in a swimming pool.
I started in professional football as a video analyst with Cork City FC’s women’s team. Then I joined the technical staff of Servette Chênois Féminin, in Geneva, as interpreter and English teacher to the head coach. The dressing room worked in English and he barely spoke it. We worked every day on the phrases he needed for each real situation. By the end of the season he was giving the full team talk in English. We won the League and the Swiss Cup.
That is where the method comes from: the English that is really used in training, team talks, video sessions and press conferences, not the textbook version.

First what you will use. Then the grammar that supports it.
From the inside
I have worked inside professional technical staffs. I know what is really said in a dressing room and what breaks when the language does not get through.
With real situations
Team talks, training sessions, video, press conferences and job interviews. Every class starts from something you will actually have to say.
In small groups
A cohort of up to 4 coaches at the same level, or one-to-one classes. You learn by speaking, with someone who corrects you and pushes you.
Shall we try?
Start with the free material or a 30-minute class for €5. We look at where your English is and how to get where you need. Money-back guarantee: if you finish the class and feel it wasn’t worth it, I’ll refund your €5.
